Types Of Air Compressor

24*7 reliable & quiet operation with high efficiency and long lifespan

Low total cost of ownership for your harshest working conditions

Certified class zero oil free air for your sensitive operations

Continuous large flow compressing with excellent energy efficiency

Zero contamination for super high pressure and low leakage compressing

Lowest Total Cost of Ownership for Your Air Compressor
In an air compressor lifecycle, fuel or electricity expense accounts for 80% of its total costs. Comair air compressor is designed with features for energy saving purpose including but not limited to: direct connection between air end and engine or motor for minimum transmission losses, variable speed drive motor running at its required speed to minimize power usage, compressing efficiency increasing by 30% with male rotor and female rotor space being less than 0.01 mm.

Unrivaled Configuration for Your Air Compressor
Comair air compressor leading and reliable performance comes from its unique and high end parts configuration.
All the motors will be of highest protection grade IP55; the highly efficient centrifugal cooling fan makes it run at extremely high ambient temperature continuously over 24 hours; parts from well known brands like SKF, Cummins, GHH and Siemens also ensure trustworthy quality and functions.
Lifetime Services for Worry Free Compressor Operation
Comair has established a comprehensive service program for every sold compressor.
Initial video installation will be sent when the compressor arrives to you while for the complicated centrifugal air compressor, professional engineers will be sent to your company for local installation and training; monthly checking email or call will be made to the client; professional engineers will always be ready for emergency repairs requests.

Air compressor prices range from several thousand US dollars to over a million US dollars.
In Comair, the smallest oil injected screw air compressor is powered by a 7 kW motor and its discharging air capacity is around 40 cfm. Its price is within 1,000.00USD.
However, the price of a centrifugal air compressor could be very high because it discharges totally oil free compressed air in very large amounts.
Please contact our experts with your actual compressor requirements. We will offer you correct compressor solution and price.
Comair has almost all the compressor types, including oil injected screw air compressors, oil free screw air compressors, centrifugal air compressors, diaphragm compressors, diesel portable air compressors, gas compressors and also boosters.
Based on how the air pressure is generated, all compressors can be divided into two types, displacement compressors and dynamic compressors. Piston compressors, screw compressors and scroll compressors are commonly seen as displacement compressors while centrifugal compressors are the most frequently used dynamic compressors.
For displacement compressors, the air is sucked into the compressing chamber. The compressing chamber encloses the air and then by reducing the enclosed volume, increases the air pressure; for dynamic compressors, it will accelerate the air speed through its impellers so the air gets high kinetic energy. The air with high kinetic energy will be pushed to a diffuser where its kinetic energy will become its pressure.
From the standpoint of applications, compressed air and gas usages could be divided into three parts: power, process and control.
Power service is most commonly seen as the compressed air use. For sand blasting operation or painting, compressed air is used as a driven force. It drives and sprays blasting grits on the rusted surface so those rusts and dirt could be removed. For mining drilling or water borehole drilling, compressed air is used as a power to remove the dusts and stones in the drilling hole so that the drilling could be faster and smoother.
Process service is called when the air or gas interacts with other substances. High pressure air will be supplied to support fully combustion or burning; compressed air will be used for air separation etc.
Control applications will usually come with power and process use. Some complicated gas compressors will require compressed air for its starting.
Choosing a right air compressor requires systematic working conditions and requirements study. An oversized air compressor will waste a huge amount of electricity or fuel while an undersized one can’t complete its required work.
Airflow: it describes how much compressed air will be discharged. Carefully check your air tool CFM requirements and add them together to get the total required compressed air.
Pressure: on your air tool, it will also show clearly its required pressure. A rock drilling jack hammer will require compressed air pressure of around 7-8 bar while a mining drill rig requires pressure of no lower than 15 bar. A right compressor shall have the working pressure higher than required pressure by air tool.
Applications: it is necessary to communicate with us clearly how the compressor will be used, in which industry or for which applications. Oil free compressors will be suggested to food & beverage production while normal compressors will be enough for cement production. It needs careful study case by case.
CFM is a unit to measure the flow rate of the compressor. It is short for cubic feet per minute.
There are also some other units which we shall be familiar with including m3/min, Nm3/min, ACFM, SCFM, m3/hr, L/min, L/s, In3/min, MMSCFD etc.
